However, an efficient, reliable, cost effective and species independent genetic transformation technology is missing and we have developed a direct DNA transformation technology that can be seamlessly integrated to existing regeneration protocols and importantly adopted to in planta methodology for a variety of species. We are working on adoption of this technology for precision breeding, gene targeting and plant bioreactors for protein production.
